If a good deed I may do
To a suffering fellow man, Let me do it while I can.
No delay for it is plain I shall not pass this way again.

My First
June 14, 2006
This is my first post (do i need to state the obvious?). Yipee! At last, my blog-addict friend can now leave me alone. She’s been pestering me to create my own blog. Apparently, she thinks that blogs are the world’s greatest invention after electricity. She loves it so much that one time when she was out of the office, she sent an SMS asking me how her blog is. It’s like a silent plea for me to watch over it. For a while I thought she was talking about the new tamagochi. Then I remembered that she doesn’t have one so she must be talking about The Blog - the one that she’s been addicted to for the past 4 months or so. Wait, this blog is mine, isn’t this? Why am I talking about you Flo? I got disoriented for a while and actually thought that I’m still making a comment on your post. Geez!
Well, in the spirit of never-ending friendship and mushy bonding, I got myself into this blog mess. Don’t get me wrong, I love to write and read but I just can’t figure out how I’ll be able to sustain this. You see, aside from writing and reading, my favorite pastime is just staring into space. No kidding. Some people call it laziness but I call it soul renewal. If you don’t agree then go ahead and make your own blog discussing the difference. See if I care.
Good thing I have such a wonderful friend who offered to create a blog for me and copy and paste all my work on my site. Little did she know that I took her offer seriously. As it turned out, I still ended up creating it. Nevertheless, I still thank God for friends. Isn’t it nice to have a friend who believes that we can do so many things when we ourselves don’t?
So, this first post is a friendly reminder that this spot I thoughtfully named Sweet Soul (I spent one whole night thinking about an apt name so wipe that smirk off your face please), will be all about my travails towards a soulful existence. If you get lucky, you might find a few posts amusing. If you get bored, don’t blame it on me. Blame it on my friend who made me believe that I can actually write. I’ll be glad to give you her number.
